BET’s “Sistas” & “Zatima” Star Devale Ellis just shared one of the most emotional Instagram post about the relationship between Zac and Fatima!
Zac and Fatima relationship is far from perfect but that is what makes the relationship real. Fans fell in love with the two and formed one of the biggest fandoms ever within the Tyler Perry universe.
The couple was received so well by the viewers that Devale and Crystal Renee Hayslett were given their own show on BET+ which is now a certified hit!
As we enter the marriage stage for the two, Devale is sharing his thoughts on the relationship and all that comes with making the magic.
Devale shared:
“Watching a love story unfold in real time is conflicting. We all root and cheer for the love we are watching to be perfect and not impeded by anything. We cheer for the love story we all want not realizing that the very things that may impede our love from surviving have probably already happened before we even met the person we are trying to love. Healing is a team sport in a relationship. Your partner’s past is never too far behind.
Sidebar: This was the toughest day of filming for @luvcrystalrenee and I. We had a ton of emotional scenes packed in between the comedy you guys get to watch in episode 10 specifically. I watched Fatima jump from an emotional wreck, to pulling a woman out of a hot tub, to keeping a straight face as I hoisted a pocket book over my shoulder and storming off, then back to sobbing in the tub. In between each scene as we changed and prepared, we would say a prayer and rush to set to make the day. All I could think was, thank God for his grace and mercy, thank @hofstrapride for this theater training and BA in performance studies, thank you Crystal for being the hardest working scene partner I’ve ever shared the screen with, & most importantly thank you @tylerperry for constantly saying to us, “I know this is hard but yall can do this.” He was right.

Sistas follows a group of single Black females as they navigate their “complicated love life,” careers and friendship through the ups and downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. The women must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30’s.
